Hallikainen Viscometers have a world-wide installation base – the by-word for process viscometers.
Our Hallikainen viscometers come in three versions, covering the viscosity range according to the nature of the viscosity being measured. There are two versions of the Hallikainen High Viscosity Viscometer – a single capillary version (Hallikainen 491) and a multi-capillary version (Hallikainen 421). Additionally, there is a Hallikainen Low Viscosity Viscometer (Hallikainen 1077) For more details, see the specification below.
All our Hallikainen Process Viscometers are manufactured in the United Kingdom and are customisable to your requirements. They are all ATEX-certified.
Why are they the choice of EPCs and Systems Integrators?
Unlike many of our competitors, our Hallikainen viscometers provide real-time, non-cyclic measurements of viscosity. They use the continuous flow of the product rather than periodic sampling. They may be installed in outdoor environments without the need for expensive air-conditioned shelters.
High Viscosity Process Viscometer
Model 491 Viscometer

- Measures Dynamic Viscosity (cP) of petrochemical streams
- Kinematic Viscosity (cSt) can be calculated from measured density data

- Wide Bore Capillary Viscometer (min range: 0-500cP, max range 0-3500cP)
Hallikainen wide bore viscometers provide a complete solution for automatic analysis of petroleum process streams. The systems offer a choice of transmitters and capillary sizes.
Hallikainen wide bore viscometers meet the requirements both in processing units for control of cut points or quality of blending components, and in finished products to meet quality specifications.
