John Kelly – Announcing his Retirement

John Kelly Retirement

Our esteemed colleague – John Kelly – who retires at the end of March

A Distinguished Sales Director

It is with great sadness that we announce the retirement of John Kelly, who will be completing over a decade of service with ATAC when he finishes working at the end of March. Many of our customers will know John and will surely miss his expertise in the field of physical property analysis.

John started his working life as an engineering apprentice with international metrology company Sigma Ltd in his hometown of Letchworth Garden City, becoming a test and service engineer in the Gas Measurement Division working on Gas Calorimeters, Wobbe Index and Specific Gravity instrumentation.

From there he moved into sales as part the Process Analytics Division of global technology business ABB Inc where he built a long and successful career working with major oil, gas and petrochemical customers around the world, specialising in large scale, turnkey, multi-application integrated analyser systems.

He then brought his expertise to ATAC and established great working relationships with so many who work in the Oil & Gas sector.

‘A great colleague who will be sorely missed’

John has been a popular and valued member of the ATAC team over the last decade and he will be sorely missed. His upbeat attitude and an ever-present smile surely defined the gentleman we all came to admire. He ensured the success of our physical property analyser business as Sales Director (Oil & Gas). But more than that, he brought professionalism and an infectious positivity to those who worked with him.

He is looking forward to spending more time in the beautiful county of Shropshire, with his wife Lynn, his children, and his grandchildren. As a seasoned traveler and rugby union fan, he will doubtless continue to tour far and wide watching the British & Irish Lions. He also admits to being an armchair supporter of West Ham Utd, which proves that, as well as being a keen sports fan, he has a great sense of humour too.

It only remains for us to wish John and Lynn every happiness in his retirement.
