At ATAC, we have a long tradition of measuring viscosity. Our heritage in this field goes back a long way – back to a time when the names Hallikainen and REL were synonymous with physical property measurement, and in particular, viscosity. That’s nearly 70 years of development in the field of viscosity. It’s why we use the tag line ‘Masters of Viscosity’.
Throughout that time, we have been approached by companies that have a particular requirement when it comes to viscosity measurement. Perhaps the traditional methods were not particularly suited to their product or process. And so they come to ATAC to request a more bespoke viscometer solution for them.
Bespoke Viscometer Solutions – What we do
ATAC has a reputation for innovation. It’s current laboratory viscometer is the direct descendant of the original ICI cone and plate viscometer. Although many companies will advertise their cone and plate viscometer as an ‘ICI’ or an ‘ICI-type’ viscometer, only ATAC has the absolute right to do so. Our process viscometers enjoy a similarily rich developmental history. The names Hallikainen and Hone were once synonymous with process viscometry. These machines have been upgraded and improved over the years and are still market-leaders in their field. Research & Development is right at the heart of what we do. There is always a new machine in development. And not just within the original sectors or for the same products.
