Hone Analysers – A brand with history
Hone analysers, used mainly in process industries, have been around for a long time. The image above is taken from our website, where these older machines are classed as ‘legacy models’. There are still many of these machines in use, and they can be found in a wide variety of industrial locations.
These days, we still supply the spare parts required to keep these analysers operational. We also learn from customers that there is still a demand for new models to replace the older ones. Although in recent years they were supplied by ATAC, they were, and always will be Hone analysers.
Hone Analysers – Functions
There was little left to the imagination when these analysers were named. They are particularly functional, if a little quirky. The ‘Boilar’ is a boiling point analyser. The ‘Flashar’ – simply a flash point analyser. Following in a similar fashion is the ‘Distillar’, a distillation analyser, the ‘Cloudar’, a cloud point analyser. The exception was the ‘Luminos’, which is a tunable diode laser gas analyser used to detect moisture.
As with many a machine built in yesteryear, the quality was such that these machines have stood the test of time. Many of them have been in continuous use over the last four decades. With regular spares to keep them going, some will continue to be in use for decades to come.
