There will be many people who are familiar with the Hallikainen range of physical property analysers. Hallikainen has a proud history in the PPA market, manufacturing quality instruments that have achieved longeivity in active service.
What some people do not realise is that Hallikainen may not exist on its own as a manufacturer these days, but its successor company, ATAC, has updated and improved upon the original instruments. In essence, the Hallikainen 1354 Vapour Pressure Analyser is the ATAC 1354 VPA.
Hallikainen 1354 – We still get asked for it
Our friendly salespeople are very much used to people asking for the Hallikainen 1354. To them, it is just the alternative name for the ATAC instrument.
That’s why I am writing this article. I want to ensure that those who place their trust in the Hallikainen brand are not disappointed. ATAC may have been around for years, but our instruments are really just Hallikainens. Whilst they were developed by Hallikainen, they were improved and updated by ATAC. They still look fairly similar, though the label on the instrument will have changed.
These Hallikainen/ATAC VPAs are found in oil refineries and similar installations all over the world. Many have been in operation for over 30 years.
